We know that sending your student to college can be a difficult transition, whether it’s the first or last child out of the house. Whether you’re sending them down the block or across an ocean, here are some commonly asked questions and resources for you, the parents and guardians! I’m worried about the safety of my student living on campus.
Safety is one of our priorities in campus housing. In addition to having several layers of key-required entry, we also provide students with contact information for the Resident Assistants On-Call (nights, weekends and holidays), and Campus Security (24/7 assistance). Building Entry:

• Your student will be the only person on their agreement with keys to their space and/or the building.
• As a parent/guardian, even if you are on the agreement as a guarantor, you are a non-resident and can only be in the building or unit if your student is present with you.
• Entering the residential areas without your student is not permitted. We reserve the right to ask you to exit the lobby area and wait outside the building if you are without your student for an extended period, or if you are causing disruption in the space, as 7000 is a restricted access space, and not open to the public.
